Boys, Men and the Church | a morning for church leaders & teams

  • T3, House of Vic-Ryn Moira Road Lisburn, Northern Ireland United Kingdom (map)

It was in 1938 in his book The Long Valley when John Steinbeck wrote:

A boy gets to be a man when a man is needed.  Remember this thing.  I have known boys 40 years old, because there was no need for a man
— John Steinbeck

We have a crisis in men and now this has passed onto a crisis in boys.

Just a few weeks ago Norway, which ranks as one of the leading countries in equal opportunities published a 2 year long study: Men's Equality Commission which clearly shows this cultural moment; the strive for equality has lead to a deep inequality and damage on boys and men.

The rise of online influencers, tv shows like 'How to be a man' (Channel 4) are trying to provide answers and a definition of 'evolved masculinity', but they are constantly coming up short.

In everything we do at RUMbLE whether it's a large event, or a one on one conversation we try to get to the depths of the issues and wounds men are carrying.  We are relentless in our mission to reach men, connect them to Jesus and equip them to live authentically for God.

This is has never more been needed than now, and the local Church has a vital role to play.  This is why we exist to partner with churches to find a local and effect men's ministry that works.

On Thursday 6 June at 10:30am, at T3 (House of Vicryn) we are hosting a conversation for church leaders & teams, men's ministry & youth leaders.  We'll have input from RUMbLE, our good friend Andy Lamberton (Legacy Fathers) and other church leaders who are seeing some incredible things happening with their men's ministries.

Most importantly we want to hear from you.
