Regular Joes ‘23

REGULAR JOES is our annual men’s conference which takes place in early November each year in Belfast, Northern Ireland. We get our name from Acts 4:13 “…were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.”

Have you ever noticed when a man picks up an interest or hobby, that he gives a good portion of himself to it? We become students of that ‘thing,’ we investigate more, we seek to become better via insights and at time seek tuition from the experts. We’ll spend time and hard-earned money just to be better, aim higher or be more. When we consider it this way, it’s intriguing that Jesus’s disciples, these ordinary, REGULAR JOES who witnessed Him perform miracles, walk on water, set the captives free and taught the masses who gathered, the only thing they ask to learn from Him is ‘Lord, teach us to pray.’ This is the theme for our 2023 Conference, as we unpack what it is to live a life of prayer in our everyday lives as men, in our workplaces, in our homes, in our storms and battles, on the mountain top or in the lowest valley.
